這首經典藍調〈靜謐的夜晚〉(Silent Nite)是由來自德國的藍調夥伴(Blues Company)樂團演唱，選自該團於1991年在inak唱片公司出版的《管他的！一起尬音樂吧》(Damn! Let´s Jam)專輯。該團1976年成立，以奧斯納布呂克(Ossenbrüggen)為根據地，為德國藍調音樂的先鋒，多年來灌錄了超過20張CD，於歐洲巡演超過三千場。
藍調夥伴(Blues Company)樂團的成員歷遭更換，2008年時的團員如下：創團吉他手兼主唱 Todor "Toscho" Todorovic，1980年加入的吉他手兼主唱Mike Titre，2008年加入的鍵盤及貝斯手Arnold Ogrodnik，2000年加入的鼓手 Florian Schaube，1999年加入原為The Fabulous BC Horns的管樂成員：小喇叭手Uwe Nolopp以及次中音薩克斯風手Robert Kretzschmar。
我們欣賞的第一部影片是藍調夥伴樂團於2009年在德國西部大城明斯特火熱爵士俱樂部(Hot Jazz Club Münster)的現場演出。第二部影片是此歌1991年的唱片原版。當年風潮唱片曾是inak唱片的台灣代理，出了一張藍調合輯《音樂表現》(Music performance)，就收錄了〈靜謐的夜晚〉(Silent Nite)一曲，Todor "Toscho" Todorovic的歌聲就像嘴裡含了顆滷蛋，有時很難聽清楚他在唱啥，不過即便團員更迭，藍調夥伴樂團的藍調樂音仍舊那麼精確、灑脫，帶著一種爽快的憂鬱。細心的聽眾也許會發現伍佰1992年出版的〈浪人情歌〉，其吉他演奏與音色和這首〈靜謐的夜晚〉(Silent Nite)有幾分神似。
