〔特派記者鄭又嘉／美國華盛頓報導〕緩緩步出牛棚，王建民心裡想著，這會是個特別的一天，因為在走上投手丘的那一刻，他換上了全新出場歌曲—「already home」，大聲向球迷宣告，華盛頓不只是個暫時的主場，而已經是個溫暖的家。

「最後一天在這裡先發，給自己一點不一樣的心情。」建仔笑著解釋自己「換歌」的意義，「我經過一年多漫長復健，那時根本沒人知道我會不會好，只有他們對我有信心，讓我有『找到家』的感覺。」

平常建仔就愛聽音樂，特別是快節奏的嘻哈、RAP最對他的胃口，前幾天他聽著聽著，發現這首歌很能詮釋他的心境，當下就請球隊公關幫他換上這首由天王級歌手Jay-Z演唱的嘻哈經典，昨天在他投球、打擊時都重複播放。

裡面一段歌詞：「They want me to fall、Fall from the top（他們想要看我從頂點墜落，想要看我失敗）」更讓建仔心有戚戚焉，當初他完全不被看好能東山再起，甚至老東家洋基評估他「只有30%機會」，最後他跌破眾人眼鏡，在手術相隔2年後，成了浴火重生的鳳凰。

「哪怕是只有1%的機會，我都會拚下去，我不想沒有努力過就放棄。」建仔感性地說，也為少數相信他「會回來」的國民，致上萬分的感謝，「因為他們沒有放棄我，讓我更沒有理由放棄自己。」

收拾好行囊，建仔準備好明年4月再回來，因為這裡「already home」。
