巫女(Witchy woman)這首歌收錄在「老鷹合唱團」(Eagles)1972年的首張同名專輯中，是由該團創團團員唐亨利(Don Henley)和伯尼李登( Bernie Leadon)所合寫，伯尼李登在開始寫這首曲子時還是鄉村搖滾樂團「飛翔的伯里托兄弟」(The Flying Burrito Brothers)的吉他手，「老鷹合唱團」成立後他將曲子交由唐亨利填上歌詞。唐亨利在一次訪談中提到當年他寫〈巫女〉歌詞時正罹患感冒，是在意識半錯亂的狀態中完成歌詞。有人說這首歌和他們兩人所結識的女人有關，並非是要將女性妖魔化，而是著墨在女人的誘惑魅力上。有人則挑明這個女人就是後來佛利伍麥克合唱團(Fleetwood Mac)的女主唱史蒂薇妮克絲(Stevie Nicks)，她擁有被樂評稱為「彷彿有魔力般」的草根磁性嗓音。當年史蒂薇妮克絲和唐亨利交往時，沉溺於古柯鹼，所以〈巫女〉歌詞中出現了這句「她用那隻銀色的湯匙讓自己瘋狂(She drove herself to madness with a silver spoon)」。這首歌曲除了歌詞中影射了濫用藥物，編曲也在前奏的印地安鼓聲引領下，由電吉他營造出迷幻的樂風。
